Kou Junqi, a student from class of 2024 majoring in Food Quality and Safety at our college, won the Gold Medal in the Speech category at the 2025 "FLTRP · ETIC Cup" Guangdong Provincial Contest.

The competition, themed "Understanding Contemporary China," brought together university students from across the province. Guided by faculty members Huai Yanmei, Chen Guohua, and Zhang Guojun, Kou delivered an outstanding performance demonstrating strong cross-cultural communication skills and a global perspective."I'm truly honored to receive this award, and I owe it to the support of my teachers and peers," Kou said. "For me, English is not just a subject—it's a bridge that helps me learn. It has become a natural part of my life."
