To enhance teaching quality and advance the college's educational initiatives, a forum on undergraduate education philosophy was held on March 28, 2025, at Meeting Room 109 in the Sixth Teaching Building. The event centered on teaching reform and undergraduate education, featuring Professor Bai Mei from the School of Life Sciences as the keynote speaker. Faculty members from the college and English instructors from Dublin College attended the meeting.
Professor Bai Mei delivered a report titled "How to Implement Teaching and Educational Reform," sharing her research insights and experiences. Her presentation covered the definition, background, implementation, and reflection on teaching reform. She also introduced the "Three Integrations" teaching model—"ideological and political guidance, integration of science and education, and industry-education collaboration." By redesigning course content and incorporating AI technology, this approach effectively boosts classroom engagement, learning outcomes, and students' sense of participation and professional identity.
Professor Bai emphasized that teaching reform should prioritize student development, focusing on practicality and sustainability. She also highlighted the importance of aligning with national education policies to identify research topics, forming professional teams, drafting project proposals, and ensuring solid implementation. Her report provided valuable inspiration and guidance for faculty members embarking on teaching reform research.
The event concluded with a lively discussion between Professor Bai and the attendees on classroom activity design, curriculum ideology, and strategies to support student growth and success.
