Forum venue
From December 13th to 14th, the Forum on High-Quality Development of Party Building and Ideological and Political Education in Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education was held at South China Agricultural University (SCAU). Over 200 experts from more than 100 universities nationwide gathered to discuss innovative approaches to Party building and ideological education in the context of globalization. The event was hosted by the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Joint Conference and organized by SCAU’s Guangzhou Dublin International College, with support from the university’s Office of International Relations and Student Affairs Department.

At the opening ceremony, Xue Hongwei, President of SCAU, highlighted the university’s commitment to integrating Party leadership into international education. He emphasized the importance of combining socialist core values with global educational concepts to cultivate students with both local roots and international perspectives.
Fang Jun, Chairman of the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Branch delivered a speech
Fang Jun, Chairman of the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Branch, stressed that Party building is the cornerstone of Sino-foreign cooperative education. He called for aligning educational practices with national directives to ensure political correctness and foster students’ confidence in China’s socialist path.

Li Jinjun, Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Department, Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, noted that such cooperation is not only about resource sharing but also a platform for cultural exchange. He outlined plans to align Guangdong’s educational strategies with the Greater Bay Area’s development needs.
Zhao Yanzhi, President of Shenyang University, delivered a speech
Zhao Yanzhi, President of Shenyang University, underscored the achievements of Sino-foreign cooperative education in talent cultivation and educational reform. He advocated for deeper integration of Party building into all aspects of cooperation to support China’s modernization goals.
The two-day forum featured keynote speeches, sub-forums, and field visits. Topics included high-quality Party organization construction, collaborative ideological education, and student-centered practices. Participants also visited SCAU’s Sichuang Park and the Overseas Chinese Museum to learn about the university’s integrated approach to Party building and education.
Concurrently, a training session on high-quality development in Sino-foreign cooperative education was launched. By 2023, over 500 Chinese universities had partnered with 1,000 institutions across 40 countries, making this model a vital part of China’s higher education system.
