Guangzhou Dublin International College Holds Teacher-Student Liaison Committee Meeting for 2022-2023 Second Semester

On March 21 and 22, 2023, Guangzhou Dublin International College of Life Sciences and Technology convened two sessions of the Teacher-Student Liaison Committee for the second semester of the 2022-2023 academic year. In attendance were Vice Dean Professor Hao Gang, Vice Provost Dr. Franci Li, Professor Olaf Schmidt (Biological Sciences), Professor James Lyng (Food Quality and Safety); Vice Dean of College of Life Sciences Professor Zhu Guohui, Vice Dean of College of Food Science Professor Zhong Qingping, Vice Dean of the School of Horticulture Professor Wu Zhenxian, Program Supervisor Ms. Agnieszka King, head of the Sino-Foreign Cooperation Office as well as 18 student representatives from three majors.

At the meeting, student representatives shared the progress and development in their learning process, discussed challenges encountered in their studies, and proposed opinions and suggestions regarding course content, teaching methods, assignments and assessment, etc., with the aim of enhancing teaching and learning. The student representatives also raised inquiries concerning graduation and employment, to which Vice Dean Hao Gang and Vice Provost Franci Li provided detailed responses.


Finally, the students conveyed their appreciation for the diligent efforts of both Chinese and foreign teachers. They expressed that it was a valuable experience to engage in offline interactions with University College Dublin's faculty this semester. The students believe that the Teacher-Student Liaison Committee has facilitated opportunities for them to directly communicate with program directors and program supervisors, enabling timely resolution of challenges encountered during their academic journey. They look forward to maintaining and participating in more such opportunities in the future.
