In order to actively promote international exchanges and enhance the overseas study experience of students at Guangzhou Dublin International College (GDIC), a one-year exchange program to University College Dublin has been jointly launched by GDIC and University College Dublin Ireland. On the evening of March 23, 2023, a specialized introduction lecture was held for 2021 cohort students at GDIC. The lecture was co-delivered by Dr. Franci Li (Vice Provost of GDIC), and the Dean of College of Agriculture at University College Dublin, Director of the program and the Program Supervisor. Professor Hao Gang (Vice Dean of GDIC) Ms. Agnieszka King (Program Supervisor), as well as teachers from the Sino-Foreign Cooperation Office of GDIC attended the lecture.

During the meeting, Vice Provost Dr. Franci Li and faculty members from the College of Agriculture at University College Dublin provided a comprehensive overview of the exchange program to the students. They also arranged for a doctoral student representative from University College Dublin to share her firsthand experience of studying and living in Ireland. After this introduction, the students gained an initial understanding of the exchange program and studying in Ireland. Dr. Franci Li engaged enthusiastically with the students and addressed their inquiries with meticulous attention.

Vice Provost Franci Li emphasized that this exchange program presents a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the social cultures of Ireland through one-year overseas study experience. This will enable them to develop their independent living and learning skills, gain exposure to diverse social customs. She encouraged students to take an active part in the program.
