Biography

Dr. Lei Hongtao, a second-level professor and doctoral supervisor, has been honored as the Young Innovation Leader of the National High-level Talent Special Support Program, the Young Science and Technology Innovation Leader of the National Innovation Talent Promotion Program, and the Science and Technology Innovation Leader of the Guangdong Special Support Program. He also serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Food Science and Engineering Teaching Steering Committee of higher Education institutions under the Ministry of Education. Additionally, he is a member of the National Food and Nutrition Graduate Education Steering Committee, Vice Chairman of the Agricultural Product Processing and Storage Engineering Committee of Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering, Vice Chairman of Guangdong Food Society, Chief Scientist for agricultural product quality and safety common key technology innovation team in Guangdong modern agricultural industry system.

1. Key technology research on multidimensional identification and detection of important food authenticity, leading a key research and development project with a funding of 29.57 million yuan.

2. Leading the research, development, and demonstration application of visual rapid detection technology for important Marine biotoxins as part of the General project of Marine Economic Development of Guangdong Province (Special project of six Marine Industries) with a funding of 2 million yuan.

3. Leading the enhancement of research on natural umami substances and precise control technology for Guangdong-style high-salt dilute soy sauce as part of the 2022 project in Yangjiang City with a funding of 1 million yuan.

4. Hosting a study on enantioselective perturbation effect of chiral pesticide isopropachlor on intestinal flora funded by RMB 100,000 from the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province.

5. Hosting a research project on the broad-spectrum specific structural basis and targeted regulation of microcystin antibodies funded by 600,000 yuan from the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

6. Hosting the construction project for Heyuan Modern Agriculture Comprehensive Experimental Station (Platform) in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with a funding amounting to 2.5 million yuan.

7. Hosting the full cycle composition determination and functional analysis project for Prickly pear and Gleditsia sinensis funded by 2 million yuan from Rural Agriculture Department Project in Guangdong Province.

8. Leading the construction team for agricultural product quality and safety common key technology innovation under Guangdong Province modern agricultural industry common key technology research and development innovation team project with a funding amounting to 2 million yuan.

9. Hosting an investigation into molecular recognition basis algal toxin multi-target broad-spectrum specific immunoassay supported by Key Project funds totaling to 2.6 million yuan from National Natural Science Foundation of China

10. Leading an exploration into molecular recognition mechanism hapten-antibody chemical pollutants under support from funds totaling to RMB two Million Yuan provided through The Team Project of The Guandong Natural Science Foundation.
