Graduation destination: Pursuing a master's degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition at the National University of Singapore

 ★Main Experience and Honors

During her undergraduate study, she achieved the third prize in the Fourth National College Students' Foreign Language Proficiency Competition (English Course), first prize in the "BETT" Cup National College Students' English Vocabulary Competition, second prize in the "Chinese and Foreign Communication Cup" National College Students' English Translation Competition, and third prize in the provincial level National College Students' English Translation Competition. She also won the third prize in the "FLTRP Cup" National English Reading Contest at South China Agricultural University Campus Selection Contest. Additionally, she was honored as an "Excellent Member" of Xinherong Media Studio at South China Agricultural University and an "Excellent Student" of South China Agricultural University.


 ★Speak for the Food Quality and Safety Program

The program of Food Quality and Safety (Sino-Foreign Cooperative program) at South China Agricultural University has fostered my strong interest in the field of food science. Through studying professional courses such as Food Additives, Food Chemistry, and Food Instrument Analysis, I have developed a deep understanding of the critical role of food safety in human health. Additionally, the professors from University College Dublin, Ireland, provided us with cutting-edge knowledge in international food science. After four years of instruction in English, my academic proficiency has significantly improved. Furthermore, obtaining double degrees from both South China Agricultural University and University College Dublin has enhanced my credentials for master's degree applications. As a result, I have received offers from prestigious universities such as University College London, National University of Singapore, University of Hong Kong, Chinese University of Hong Kong, and University of Edinburgh.


For the younger students considering food quality and safety, I would like to emphasize that the Food Quality and Safety major is a discipline that emphasizes the integration of theory and practice. It is essential not only to acquire professional knowledge in the classroom but also to engage in laboratory work to enhance scientific research skills, as well as gain experience in food research and development within enterprises, ultimately translating theoretical learning into practical applications. If you have a passion for food and an interest in the field, then pursuing studies in Food Quality and Safety will be a fulfilling and gratifying choice.


I hope that the younger students will exert themselves, make the most of their youth, and shine in their own glory on the beautiful Bauhinia campus!
