The welcome meeting for the 2023 freshmen of Guangzhou Dublin International College of Life Sciences and Technology took place in the lecture hall on the second floor of the No.6 Teaching Building on the morning of September 18, 2023. The event was attended by Dean Feng Lixin, Provost Paul Fanning, Vice Dean Hao Gang, Vice Provost Chenguang Li, Project Manager Agnieszka, Head of UCD Global Center in China, as well as faculty members and all students of 2023 cohort.
At the onset of the meeting, Provost Paul Fanning cordially welcomed the new students and provided them with a comprehensive overview of both campuses, the history of collaboration, student career prospects and advantages.

Vice Provost Chenguang Li provided a comprehensive explanation of the college's credit structure, grade point system, academic progression and continuation requirements, learning tasks, course remediation procedures, solutions to teaching-related problems and relevant management regulations to students while also outlining their learning expectations.

Chenguang Li expressed the hope that this welcome meeting will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the college and their chosen major. Additionally, it is expected that students will diligently familiarize themselves with academic regulations, strategically plan their learning process, and endeavor to cultivate themselves into international innovative talents over the course of four years.
